What we do
Biominas is a pioneer in supporting the structuring of bio businesses in Brazil. Is also a pioneer in a series of programs and activities launched in the last 30 years, including one of the first incubators of the country, the first investment program in startup companies, industry reports, innovative programs for pre and acceleration of projects and startups, partnering events, online training courses, among others.
As important as the creation and operation of activities is the Biominas’ ability to gather relevant partners, including universities, companies, and national and international governments and institutions.
Over the years, this pioneering has turned into experience and competence in the evaluation of academic projects with a strong scientific component, proper support and high success rate in creation of biobusiness. With our support and the connections we built, we support the structuring of more than 300 companies and technology transfer and licensing agreements.

Mission
We Connect people to build successful businesses and to create bio innovation environments in Brazil.
We understand bio as a fusion of biotechnologies (life sciences), healthcare systems and information technologies. In addition to the discovery of new drugs to the treatment of diseases and to the research of solutions to public and private healthcare systems disparities, bio also includes food, well-being and environment in a OneHealth concept. This will be done with the intensive use of modern technological tools and bioengineering.
